Colterscleuch House & Cottage are set amidst traditional farmland in the beautiful Teviot Valley.
It is a rural delight, yet only a ten minute drive to the nearest Scottish Borders town of Hawick, where you will find everything you need - supermarkets, cafes & restaurants, traditional textile mills, gift shops, a cinema, leisure centres and parks.
There are many Border towns within striking distance, each with individual charm and character.
Colterscleuch is also an excellent base for exploring the east and west coasts of southern Scotland, Northumberland and Cumbria. Scotland's Capital, Edinburgh, is a 90 minute drive away. To avoid city trafic and parking, you can get to Edinburgh on a beautiful train journey from Tweedbank
Park & Ride, on the recently opened Waverley Line.
Have a look at our links on the left for just some of the many things to see and do in the Borders.
The House and Cottage are available together or individually, depending on your needs.
Colterscleuch House sleeps up to 10 people, over 5 bedrooms.
Colterscleuch Cottage sleeps up to 5 people, over 2 bedrooms.
"We never return to the same place - until now. Good parking right next to the door, all the little things provided that tend to be forgotten. Beautiful views across the valley. The birds on the feeder are sheer delight! We had a wonderful, relaxing time again. Thank you!"

"Cottage was amazing, much bigger than we expected and very cosy. Beds comfy, slept well. Owners are lovely, very friendly and easy to chat to. Breakfast was excellent. Really enjoyed our stay and planning on returning next year.
Beautiful location for short break/getting away from hustle and bustle of everyday life."

"Beautiful surroundings, LOVELY house to stay in, very friendly and helpful hosts - couldn't have been better for our family of five. Just wish we'd had more time to stay and enjoy it!! I especially like looking out the window on all the birds feeding right outside, including pheasants.
Hawick is a very handy 10 minutes away to shops, including a big supermarket."
Philp Family, UK
"It would be impossible not to recommend Colterscleuch Cottage highly enough. Everything for our stay over the Christmas Holiday was simply perfect, with superb attention to presentation, cleanliness and welcoming thoughtful little extras that made the cottage feel truly home from home. We will return. Thank you."
